Assistant Vice President, Deal and Cash Operations (Investment Accounting)

Base pay range: $125,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Translate private deal documents into accurate accounting records and record investment activity, proceeds, credit events, reorganizations, amendments, and exits.
• Process cash movements through complex legal entity structures and support deal funding and closing activities.
• Position and forecast cash, ensure availability for purchases and redemptions, prevent overdrafts, and stage FX orders for liquidity and hedging.
• Coordinate with investment teams, fund accounting, auditors, custodians, administrators, and counterparties.
• Establish SLAs and KPIs, identify and mitigate process risks, resolve daily issues, and implement process improvements.
• Manage resources, develop team members, write procedures, and provide training.

Requirements

• 9–11 years of relevant experience at an asset management firm, investment bank, or financial services company.
• Experience in investment accounting and operations for alternative investments, including private credit, real assets, syndicated loans, private equity, or asset-backed finance.
• Experience processing transactions, credit activity, and accounting entries in Advent Geneva and Global World Investor.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, charts, and formulas.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA certification with private deal experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
