SVP, Credit Administrator - Leveraged Finance

Location: HQ - San Diego, California, United States

Salary: $125,000–$200,000 per year, plus eligible annual discretionary cash and restricted stock unit bonus targets of 25% each.

What you will do

• Provide credit oversight through initial and periodic reviews and evaluate loan structures for an assigned portfolio of commercial borrowers.
• Review and approve new credit proposals, amendments, renewals, and extensions within authorized approval limits.
• Work with business units, credit underwriting, portfolio management, and legal counsel on complex loan transactions.
• Monitor pipelines, maturities, delinquencies, risk ratings, and portfolio credit risk.
• Develop strategies for complex and problem loans and provide guidance, coaching, and credit thought leadership.
• Track industry, market, and borrower trends and propose updates to credit policies, guidelines, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial credit frameworks and basic commercial credit legal documentation principles.
• Superior credit analysis skills and completion of a formal credit training program at a major financial institution.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work at the San Diego headquarters.
