Senior Engineer, Electrical Controls (Industrial Automation)

Location: Ft. Madison, Iowa, United States; onsite manufacturing facility role

Salary: $99,700–$117,300 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for electrical and control system upgrades.
• Own electrical capital projects from initial request through implementation.
• Provide technical support for plant operations by troubleshooting equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
• Oversee installation and integration of MCCs, power distribution panels, and facility-wide electrical grids.
• Manage Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic updates, backup systems, and industrial network communication.
• Partner with Operations and IT while improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime through TPM and Lean methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent master-level technical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment focused on electrical systems and controls.
• Hands-on expertise in industrial electrical installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Substantial proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial networking.
• Comprehensive understanding of NFPA-70E and electrical safety standards, including arc flash, LOTO, and energized work permits.
• Experience leading and coaching electricians, tradespeople, or technicians.
