TL;DR
Staff Field Applications Engineer (FPGA): Supporting customer design-in and deployment of Lattice FPGA solutions with an accent on platform security, root of trust, embedded system integration, and customer enablement. Focus on evaluating and demonstrating FPGA designs, guiding Radiant, Diamond, and Propel tool flows, troubleshooting timing and board-level issues, and delivering technical training.
Location: Taipei, Taiwan. The role requires satisfactory proof of the right to work in Taiwan and includes travel for customer support, training, and technical meetings.

What you will do
- Provide technical support throughout the customer design cycle for Lattice FPGA solutions.
- Conduct product evaluations, proof-of-concept designs, and demonstrations.
- Guide customers through Radiant, Diamond, Propel, and other Lattice design toolchains.
- Deliver technical presentations, training, and workshops on FPGA, LTPI, MPESTI, security, and root-of-trust solutions.
- Support embedded system integration involving FPGAs, processors, and interfaces.
- Troubleshoot timing closure, simulation, board-level integration, and other design issues while relaying customer feedback to sales and R&D.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of FPGA development, technical support, or FAE experience.
- Hands-on experience with RTL coding in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog, synthesis, simulation, and debugging.
- Strong knowledge of Lattice toolchains, including Radiant, Diamond, Propel, and Lattice Programming Cable tools.
- Knowledge of I²C, SPI, SGPIO, LTPI, and eSPI interfaces, plus lab experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and FPGA prototyping boards.
- Strong problem-solving, presentation, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.
