Senior Field Applications Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan; satisfactory proof of the right to work in Taiwan is required.

What you will do

• Support customers throughout the design cycle for Lattice FPGA solutions.
• Conduct product evaluations, proof-of-concept designs, and demonstrations.
• Guide customers through Radiant, Diamond, Propel, and other Lattice design toolchains.
• Deliver technical presentations, training, and workshops on LTPI, MPESTI, security, and root-of-trust solutions.
• Support embedded system integration involving FPGAs, processors, and interfaces.
• Troubleshoot timing closure, simulation, and board-level integration issues, and relay customer feedback to sales and R&D.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of FPGA development, technical support, or FAE experience.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA design flows, including RTL coding in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog, synthesis, simulation, and debugging.
• Strong knowledge of Lattice toolchains, including Radiant, Diamond, Propel, and Lattice Programming Cable tools.
• Understanding of I²C, SPI, SGPIO, LTPI, and eSPI interfaces.
• Laboratory experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and FPGA prototyping boards.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, presentation, and customer communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, manage multiple customer projects, and travel for customer support, training, or technical meetings.
