Senior Manager, Electrical Hardware Engineering, Commercial PCs

What you will do

• Lead managers and individual contributors developing electrical and electronic solutions for commercial PCs across multiple areas and divisions.
• Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, budgets, resources, and costs across multiple engineering projects and programs.
• Coordinate with program management, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders, and executives on status, escalations, and strategic decisions.
• Manage outsourced partners and suppliers, including expectations for deliverables, quality, schedules, costs, and service terms.
• Drive process improvements, cost reductions, knowledge development, and performance initiatives.
• Recruit, coach, manage performance, and support the career development of team members.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically 10+ years of job-related experience or 8–10 years of management experience.
• Experience preferably related to electrical design and tools, software packages, electronic hardware architecture, or a related field.
• Knowledge of C++, computer engineering, computer science, debugging, electrical and electronic engineering, electronics, FPGA, hardware architecture, hardware design, MATLAB, mechanical engineering, new product development, oscilloscopes, physics, printed circuit boards, Python, schematic capture, simulations, and systems design.
• Demonstrated customer centricity, prioritization, resilience, team management, and strategic thinking.
• Ability to lead projects requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines or areas and resolve highly complex issues through managerial concepts and company objectives.
