Senior Field Application Engineer (Digital Power)

Location: Taipei, Taiwan. Travel required to domestic and international customer sites, primarily within Greater China, for 25%–50% of the time.

What you will do

• Collaborate with sales teams and Business Units to create demand and influence product selection through demonstrations and presentations of digital power products and development tools.
• Provide engineering support and technical assistance for customer hardware and software development.
• Adapt reference designs to customer requirements and conduct schematic, PCB layout, hardware, and system-level design reviews.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical training.
• Monitor Opportunity, Net New Revenue, and design-win status while achieving quarterly and annual targets.
• Promote Microchip products, support business development, and gather competitive, SWOT, and industry-trend intelligence.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of field experience in digital power design is required.
• In-depth knowledge of power electronics and MCU/DSP-based digital power control.
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment, including oscilloscopes, AC/DC sources, and electronic loads.
• Proven ability to conduct schematic and PCB layout reviews.
• Strong English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Excellent communication skills when coordinating with internal Business Units and distributors.
• Ability to travel as required to domestic and international customer sites, primarily within Greater China.
• Demonstrated experience in effective customer relationship management.
