Senior Cloud Solution Architect (AWS)

Location: USA – EDS Troy Corporate Offices; local residents only, with the ability to work onsite in Troy, MI

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of an enterprise cloud-based data hub.
• Architect scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-optimized solutions for real-time, near-real-time, and batch data processing.
• Define patterns for data ingestion, streaming, storage, processing, governance, integration, and consumption.
• Make technical decisions on cloud services, data platforms, integration patterns, and architectural standards.
• Provide hands-on guidance for Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, CI/CD, and Python-based prototypes and solution accelerators.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture, data engineering, analytics, AI/ML, security, and application teams while mentoring engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience designing and delivering solutions on major cloud platforms, with strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience designing and implementing real-time or near-real-time data processing solutions, including streaming and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with a cloud-based data warehouse or analytics platform such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Proficiency in Python, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise cloud solutions, plus exposure to modern AI/ML and agentic AI tools.
