AWS Solutions Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Architect, deploy, and operate secure, scalable AWS environments across compute, networking, storage, identity, and managed data services.
• Build production infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK, supported by version control, peer review, and automated validation.
• Design multi-account AWS Organizations, landing zones, governance controls, secure VPC topologies, IAM strategies, and enterprise connectivity.
• Deploy and operate EKS, ECS, and Fargate platforms with auto-scaling, service mesh integration, and cloud-native observability.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, operational automation, disaster recovery, business continuity, and cost-optimization capabilities.
• Partner with application, security, and SRE teams, lead architecture reviews, mentor junior engineers, and remediate security findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five or more years of cloud engineering experience, including at least three years working with AWS in production; the position listing also specifies 6+ years of experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
• Production experience with infrastructure-as-code, EKS or ECS at scale, and CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application workloads.
• Strong Python and Bash scripting skills, plus understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, key management, compliance, monitoring, and alerting.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
• Experience with AWS Organizations, centralized governance, service mesh, eBPF-based observability, zero-trust networking, and FinOps.
• Experience operating regulated workloads subject to HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP.
• Familiarity with Go or PowerShell.
