Engineering Manager, Mobile (AI)

Location: Remote, Canada; fully remote with optional onsite attendance at major events.

Salary: CA$155,000–CA$190,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade mobile applications and scalable platform systems.
• Drive architectural improvements, platform modernization, replatforming, and large-scale codebase overhauls.
• Define engineering standards, reusable architectures, development practices, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted coding tools and modern development workflows.
• Manage, mentor, hire, and support the career development of mobile engineers.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and leadership teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant mobile development experience.
• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Deep expertise in iOS and Android development, modern mobile languages, and frameworks.
• Experience building or redesigning mobile architectures and shared frameworks from the ground up.
• Experience leading large-scale replatforming or codebase overhaul projects and implementing AI coding workflows.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, object-oriented architecture, scalable system design, technical mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with KMP, CMP, or React Native.
