Salary: $180,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team while raising standards for ownership, quality, and execution speed.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, system design, scalability, reliability, and long-term system evolution.
- Own roadmap planning and execution from technical direction through delivery and customer impact.
- Partner with product, design, and leadership to turn ambiguous real-world regulatory problems into scalable systems.
- Drive critical infrastructure used across thousands of jurisdictions and improve observability, performance, reliability, and engineering efficiency.
- Hire and develop engineers and future technical leaders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in engineering leadership.
- Experience building and scaling engineering teams in startup or high-growth environments.
- Strong system design and architecture fundamentals for scalable web or distributed systems.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and convert unclear problems into structured execution.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Deep technical fluency, including code review, architecture, technical trade-offs, reliability, and performance.
Nice to have
- Experience with workflow-heavy, enterprise SaaS, or infrastructure products.
- Exposure to regulated environments such as construction, logistics, or government systems.
