Salary: $20.00–$27.00 per hour, based on experience, education, and skills.

hirify.global's affiliated oncology practice provides multidisciplinary cancer care, including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, gynecologic surgery, and access to clinical research trials.

What you will do

  • Obtain and verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, eligibility, benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses before treatment.
  • Assess patients' ability to meet expenses, discuss payment arrangements, and explain available financial assistance programs.
  • Prepare patient cost estimates, reimbursement and liability forms, and forward required documentation to the billing office.
  • Obtain insurance pre-authorization or referral approval codes before treatment and assist with office-service referral authorizations.
  • Review account balances, communicate collection requirements to the front desk, and ensure co-pay amounts are entered correctly.
  • Update insurance and demographic information at each visit while maintaining confidential patient records and required documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years of experience as a patient pre-services coordinator or in an equivalent role.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS coding applications.
  • Clear verbal communication and appropriate healthcare terminology.
  • Ability to work on-site during regularly scheduled business hours and interact in person within an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
