Patient Access Specialist Associate (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite at Bon Secours - St Francis Med Ctr in Midlothian, VA. Applicants must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform admitting and patient access duties for hospital services.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, complete medical necessity and compliance checks, and process physician orders.
• Collect demographic, insurance, and financial information, including point-of-service and past-due payments.
• Pre-register patients, verify insurance eligibility, select plan codes, and support clean-claim and billing processes.
• Explain treatment consents, Medicare and Tricare notices, observation forms, ABNs, and other patient documentation.
• Conduct account audits, maintain accurate records, provide reporting data, and operate the telephone switchboard.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to work onsite at the specified hospital location.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
• Inquisitive approach and openness to innovation, including AI-enabled process improvements.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
