Patient Access Specialist - Full Time (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, FL; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform patient admission, registration, and pre-registration activities for hospital services.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select applicable plan codes, and enter benefits data to support billing and clean claims.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required Medicare, consent, observation, and patient education forms.
• Collect point-of-service payments and past-due balances, explain payment plan options, and provide compassionate customer service.
• Conduct account audits, maintain accurate documentation, and operate the telephone switchboard when applicable.

Requirements

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to work onsite at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, FL.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
• CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
