Specialist II, Production Planning (Master Schedule)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain a rolling 12-month Master Production Plan aligned with demand forecasts, capacity constraints, labor availability, equipment capacity, materials, and business priorities.
• Translate the master plan into weekly production schedules and communicate priorities to manufacturing teams and external processors.
• Manage finished-goods inventory targets and safety stock, balance supply and demand, and align raw-material inventory with Purchasing.
• Confirm customer fulfillment commitments, adjust lead times to operating conditions, and drive On-Time Delivery performance.
• Track performance against the plan, identify root causes and corrective actions, and report supply-chain metrics.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Purchasing, Warehouse, Engineering, and Operations while leading and supporting S&OP / Integrated Business Planning processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Master Scheduling, preferably in manufacturing or assembly.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Advanced Planning Systems experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of demand, supply, and inventory planning processes.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complexity and competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, plus strong communication, stakeholder-influence, organizational, and detail-management skills.

Nice to have

• APICS CPIM/CSCP or ISM certification.
• Advanced Planning Systems experience.
