Controls Systems Engineer

Location: Onsite in Red Wing, Minnesota, United States; travel may include up to 5% domestic or international travel. Relocation may be authorized.

Salary: $124,127–$151,710 per year, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Provide control systems solutions for new and existing automated process equipment.
• Design, install, and commission automated manufacturing equipment to improve efficiency, ergonomics, and product quality.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot controls issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead control systems projects, including hardware selection and software development for new process equipment.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to meet milestones and support a strong Environmental Health and Safety culture.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of experience with machine control system design and commissioning.
• Experience with control systems and hardware in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Ability to provide education and work history as part of the application.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and GuardLogix PLCs.
• Experience with PowerFlex drives, Kinetix motion servos, PanelView, Allen-Bradley controls, automation, or robotics.
• Project leadership experience with strong written and oral communication skills.
