Manufacturing Engineer - CNC Machining

Location: Onsite in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with the posting conditions also listing Wyoming, Michigan; full-time onsite presence is required.

What you will do

• Support high-volume machining and grinding operations, manufacturing equipment, tooling, and process improvements.
• Maintain manufacturing technical documentation and provide technical direction to internal teams and external vendors.
• Improve equipment efficiency, resolve downtime events, and address customer quality concerns through cross-functional problem solving.
• Provide day-to-day support for manufacturing operations and maintenance, including safety and ergonomics initiatives.
• Deliver training and develop technical training manuals and work instructions for team members and maintenance personnel.
• Participate in project planning and coordination to deliver work on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in an engineering support role within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of high-volume manufacturing and CNC machining equipment, including ID grinding, OD grinding, drilling, milling, or turning.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD or other computer-based office and engineering software.
• Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work onsite in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and must not require current or future GM immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of cold forming, heat processes, and high-volume fabrication manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAD software, statistical analysis, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Project management experience.
