Process Engineer – Manufacturing

Location: Dearborn, Michigan, United States; fully onsite at the work location; morning shift

What you will do

• Support manufacturing process engineering for axle carrier machining and assembly operations.
• Establish and continuously improve processes to increase safety, quality, productivity, and throughput.
• Lead projects involving manufacturing equipment delivery and commissioning.
• Conduct process audits, ergonomic evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Analyze inventory and reject root causes, reduce variability, and resolve machining-related concerns.
• Create process and instruction sheets and lead lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related manufacturing process engineering experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, process validation, and manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and strong problem-solving skills.
• Leadership, interpersonal, team-building, and communication skills.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Dearborn, Michigan, on a morning shift.

Nice to have

• High-volume CNC and machining engineering experience, including boring, drilling, and CNC milling.
• Experience with tooling, PPAP, FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R, capability studies, and process improvement.
• Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma experience.
• Project management and manufacturing equipment delivery experience.
• Experience with axles or other automotive components, ergonomic analysis, and Visual Factory Management.
