Location: Sanford, North Carolina; onsite five days per week. High travel of 50–75% may be required during construction planning, supplier reviews, equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and production ramp-up. US domestic relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

Global manufacturer developing an advanced manufacturing campus for compact track loaders and telehandlers, using automation, robotics, digital production systems, and integrated logistics.
What you will do
- Support facility launch activities from process planning through installation, commissioning, go-live, ramp-up, and steady-state operations.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes in fabrication, paint, or assembly, owning defined subsystems and project workstreams.
- Implement automation, robotics, connected equipment, error-proofing, and data-enabled production processes.
- Support project scopes, schedules, budgets, technical specifications, risk assessments, and readiness plans.
- Provide technical support for equipment, tooling, fixtures, layouts, process controls, production flow, and manufacturing documentation.
- Resolve startup issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions while supporting production stabilization.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of manufacturing engineering, process management, project planning, automation, robotics, machine controls, and connected equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing operations, engineering projects, automation initiatives, process development, equipment, tooling, layouts, or production flow.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing, plant startups, facility expansions, or manufacturing transformation is preferred.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week in Sanford, North Carolina, with schedule flexibility and significant travel.
Nice to have
- Experience with PLCs, machine vision, digital production systems, and connected manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, process validation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Experience in heavy equipment, industrial machinery, automotive, aerospace, fabrication, paint, or assembly operations.
