Program Manager (Automotive)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary customer interface and lead program reviews covering cost, schedule, technical metrics, and delivery progress.
• Manage multiple programs, creating strategic roadmaps, project plans, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, product development, manufacturing, sales, supply chain, quality, and administrative functions.
• Identify and resolve risks involving resources, timelines, technical challenges, customer requirements, and program scope.
• Manage program costs, financial status, margin improvement, profitability, change control, and ongoing price negotiations.
• Lead series production activities, including claims management, continuous improvement, and VA/VE initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex programs.
• Strong project management, communication, presentation, interpersonal, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project and PLM systems.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with molding, stamping, grazing, CNC welding, or similar manufacturing processes.
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.
