Senior Project Consultant (Microsoft Infrastructure, Security & Modernization)

Location: Brentwood, Tennessee, United States (hybrid); most engagements are delivered remotely with occasional onsite travel for project kickoffs, critical milestones, or customer workshops.

What you will do

• Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, readiness reviews, and solution reviews for mid-market and enterprise customers.
• Deliver Microsoft infrastructure, identity, security, cloud, and modernization projects within approved scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Lead technical execution across on-premises, hybrid, Azure, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage technical risks, issues, dependencies, scope risks, change discussions, and complex implementation challenges.
• Maintain project documentation, technical deliverables, status updates, service tickets, time reporting, and expense records.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Sales, Architecture, and Managed Services teams.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience delivering Microsoft infrastructure and cloud solutions.
• Proven experience with on-premises Active Directory and messaging migrations, hybrid identity and security design, Azure infrastructure and networking, Microsoft 365 tenant design and migrations, and Hyper-V migration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security solutions, including Defender XDR, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Entra security capabilities.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft security, governance, Zero Trust, and modernization best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong communication, customer-facing consulting, problem-solving, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Stack HCI, hybrid server scenarios, and VMware-to-Hyper-V migrations.
• Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, or Azure Security Engineer Associate.
• Experience with BitTitan MigrationWiz, Quest On Demand Migration, Sharegate, or other Microsoft-aligned migration tools.
