Cloud Systems Administrator (Microsoft Azure)

What you will do

• Administer Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, monitoring, backup, and related cloud services.
• Manage Azure access and permissions with RBAC, managed identities, service principals, and application registrations.
• Administer Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Support cloud security through least-privilege access, identity protection, security monitoring, and Microsoft Defender technologies.
• Automate administrative tasks with PowerShell and improve the security, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of the cloud environment.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, development, and data teams to resolve cloud, identity, connectivity, and security issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration, cloud administration, Microsoft 365 administration, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online.
• Understanding of Azure RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, and identity and access management.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, DNS, VPNs, and virtualization.
• Basic PowerShell experience, strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, and the ability to independently resolve unfamiliar technical issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Key Vault, Azure Policy, Azure Arc, Azure Local, Intune, PIM, or Microsoft Graph.
• Experience with PowerShell automation, backup and disaster recovery, EDR, or vulnerability management.
