Maintenance Tech II (Biopharma)

Location: Frederick, Maryland, United States; onsite, multi-shift work required

Salary: $80,325–$103,950 per year, plus potential discretionary bonus, stock-based incentives, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Support HVAC equipment, boilers, air handling units, purified water systems, air compressors, product storage, utilities, welding, fabrication, construction, and light electrical installations.
• Monitor EMS/BMS systems and verify that facilities, equipment, and environmental systems operate within specified ranges.
• Diagnose failures, replace defective components, and use electrical test equipment, drawings, schematics, manuals, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate critical-system maintenance, create or revise SOPs and maintenance job plans, and maintain accurate GDP records.
• Follow safety regulations, GMPs, cGMP requirements, gowning procedures, and respiratory protection requirements; respond to emergency notifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma with at least 5 years of maintenance experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company and direct GMP facility operations experience.
• AAS degree with at least 4 years of relevant maintenance experience is preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, process systems, plumbing/piping, facility utilities, PLCs, control automation, and building management systems.
• Ability to operate main switchgear up to 35kV or similar, read blueprints and control drawings, install relays, and perform wiring, conduit, and light electrical work.
• EPA Universal CFC Certification, proficiency with MS Office, and knowledge of current GMPs are required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lb.; remain physically active for 75% of a shift; work with minimal direction; and travel when required.
