Maintenance Technician (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility equipment, support systems, and infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect machinery and systems to identify potential failures and prevent operational disruptions.
• Improve the functionality, efficiency, and reliability of facility equipment and systems.
• Document maintenance activities and ensure work meets established policies, procedures, and performance targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams, supervisors, contractors, and vendors; provide guidance to junior team members when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma and at least 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, conduit installation, wiring, voltage and current measurement, motor controls, sensors, and electrical control devices.
• Knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading, fluid principles, plumbing repairs, and preventive maintenance of support equipment.
• Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration components, including condensers, pumps, evaporators, expansion devices, and safety controls.
• Understanding of positive-pressure requirements in controlled environments, SDWT principles, lockout/tagout, and protective clothing requirements.
• Ability to perform physical work involving standing, walking, handling equipment, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Nice to have

• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment and transformers.
• Ability to solder, braze, and install copper pipe, tubing, and related fittings.
• Experience identifying gauge types and cutting or bending sheet metal.
• Knowledge of air-handling system operating principles.
