Senior Cloud Operations Engineer (Azure)

What you will do

• Administer, optimize, monitor, and support Azure IaaS and PaaS environments, including production incident response, root cause analysis, SLAs, and operational documentation.
• Manage Azure networking, Azure SQL services, application registrations, enterprise applications, service principals, certificates, Key Vault integrations, and related monitoring.
• Design cloud-native and cloud-optimized applications using App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, microservices, event-driven architecture, and API-first integration.
• Implement Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, configuration, and scaling across environments.
• Maintain identity, security, compliance, backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity strategies across Azure and Okta.
• Operationalize AI solutions such as Copilot and Azure OpenAI with access controls, data boundaries, monitoring, logging, and cost governance.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud administration, or systems engineering.
• Extensive hands-on Microsoft Azure experience across IaaS, PaaS, networking, and identity, plus Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, Okta integration, SSO, MFA, federation, RBAC, and least-privilege access.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or similar automation tools, and a solid understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience with Zero Trust architecture, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring and observability tools, and regulated environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in an information technology-related field; Azure Administrator, Security Engineer, or DevOps Engineer certification is expected.
