TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Azure): Supporting and maintaining on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure with an accent on deployment automation, configuration management, monitoring, and production operations. Focus on building automated environments, managing CI/CD processes, coordinating application deployments and rollbacks, and troubleshooting Linux, Windows, and cloud services.
Location: Reston, VA, United States. Onsite role; candidates must be US citizens, green card holders, or EAD holders.

What you will do
- Administer, troubleshoot, configure, install, deploy, maintain, upgrade, and monitor on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain DevOps processes with architects, technical leads, infrastructure teams, and development teams.
- Support deployments, rollbacks, application verification, smoke tests, and production operations.
- Coordinate with software, application, operating system, and cloud service support teams to resolve incidents.
- Maintain automated scripts, scheduled tasks, server maintenance routines, monitoring, patching, and log or data archiving across development, test, pre-production, and production environments.
- Review project artifacts and assess application releases using operational support plans, secure configuration documents, and best-practice guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a web development environment.
- Experience building sandbox environments, automated environment builds, deployment and maintenance routines, and virtual machine provisioning.
- Experience with enterprise cloud platforms, including Azure or AWS, Python, and Azure PowerShell scripting.
- Understanding of software configuration management and continuous integration tools.
- Basic user and administration-level experience with Microsoft Windows.
Nice to have
- Cloud certification in AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, SOX, ISO, or PCI compliance standards.
