Senior Azure Engineer (Azure)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure.
• Own the end-to-end cloud engineering lifecycle, including architecture, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and operational excellence.
• Design and operate Azure Kubernetes Service clusters at scale.
• Implement security hardening, identity management, compliance controls, monitoring, alerting, and observability for distributed production workloads.
• Optimize cloud costs and troubleshoot complex production issues.
• Partner with application development, security, and SRE teams to deliver scalable and reliable cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of cloud engineering experience, including three or more years focused on Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform-as-a-service offerings.
• Production experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, plus Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, Green Card holder, EAD holder, or H-1B transfer candidate; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments spanning Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Istio or Linkerd on AKS.
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost-management tooling.
• Experience with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP environments.
