Azure Platform Engineer (Azure/DevOps): Designing, deploying, and operating large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure with an accent on infrastructure-as-code, automation, security hardening, observability, and cost optimization. Focus on operating AKS clusters at scale, building CI/CD across infrastructure and applications, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance for production workloads.
Location: 100% remote within the United States
Salary: $133,000–$158,000 annually

What you will do
- Design, deploy, and operate large-scale cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure.
- Own the cloud engineering lifecycle across architecture, infrastructure-as-code, automation, security hardening, cost optimization, observability, and production operations.
- Design and operate Azure Kubernetes Service clusters at scale.
- Implement CI/CD for infrastructure and applications using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Partner with application development, security, and SRE teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and compliant cloud-native solutions.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- At least 6 years of experience, including 5 or more years in cloud engineering and 3 or more years focused on Azure in production environments.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform-as-a-service offerings.
- Production experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- Experience with cloud security, identity management, compliance, monitoring, alerting, observability, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.
Nice to have
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments spanning Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Istio or Linkerd on AKS.
- Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost-management tooling.
- Experience in HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP-regulated environments.
