Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate production cloud infrastructure across Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform services.
• Design and operate Azure Kubernetes Service clusters at scale.
• Build infrastructure and application CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Develop maintainable automation with PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Implement cloud security, identity management, compliance, monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies.
• Troubleshoot distributed workloads and maintain clear technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, including 3+ years working with Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure core services and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Strong experience with AKS, Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and cloud automation scripting.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, compliance frameworks, and observability.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments spanning Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Istio or Linkerd on AKS.
• Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost-management tooling.
• Experience with HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP environments.
