Focus on translating scientific insights into medical plans, building global expert networks, guiding cross-functional collaboration, and overseeing disease-area teams and budgets.

Location: Hybrid, with three days onsite and two days remote, in Santa Monica, California, Foster City, California, or Parsippany, New Jersey. The Santa Monica office is expected to relocate to El Segundo or Thousand Oaks beginning in January 2027.

Salary: $255,425–$330,550 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Set and execute global Medical Affairs strategy for autoimmune diseases and solid-tumor pipeline assets across the product lifecycle.
  • Lead evidence-generation strategy, medical monitoring, operational oversight, and launch-readiness activities.
  • Capture scientific and stakeholder insights and translate them into actionable strategies and medical plans.
  • Build relationships with global medical experts and represent Global Medical Affairs at congresses, professional societies, and stakeholder forums.
  • Guide regional and country Medical Affairs plans and collaborate with Clinical Research, HEOR, Market Access, Government Affairs, Marketing, and PVE.
  • Develop Medical Affairs personnel and oversee disease-area budgets and broader organizational initiatives.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree such as MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent.
  • 12+ years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or clinical research.
  • Strong clinical or scientific expertise in autoimmune diseases and/or cellular therapies.
  • Demonstrated success leading in a global, matrix environment.
  • Strategic, collaborative, patient-centric, ethical, and compliant leadership approach.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 35% and work in the specified hybrid office locations.
