Security Architect (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Design and document secure architectures for networks, AWS, Azure, GCP, applications, identity systems, and client environments.
• Define security architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns, technical standards, and architecture documentation.
• Review projects, systems, applications, migrations, and vendor solutions, providing risk-based security recommendations.
• Lead threat modeling and design identity security solutions covering identity governance, access management, privileged access, authentication, and Zero Trust.
• Evaluate security tools such as SIEM, EDR, DLP, CASB, WAF, IAM, and PAM, and oversee their integration.
• Partner with DevOps and platform teams on DevSecOps, support incident response and forensic activities, and mentor security engineers.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of information security experience, including 2–3 years focused on security architecture.
• Deep knowledge of network security, cloud security architecture, identity security, IAM/PAM, and application security.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider and its native security services.
• Experience with identity governance, authentication, authorization, privileged access, Zero Trust, and threat modeling methods such as STRIDE or PASTA.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, GIAC, AWS Security, or Azure Security certifications.
• Experience in finance, healthcare, or government contracting.
• Experience maturing Zero Trust architectures or leading security design reviews and Architecture Review Board activities.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, IAM, or PAM platforms.
• Python, Terraform, or similar scripting and automation skills.
