Cybersecurity Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person collaboration is expected at the Playa Vista office.

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 annual base salary, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise cybersecurity architectures across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Develop security standards, reference architectures, technical documentation, threat models, and architecture reviews.
• Implement and optimize controls across networks, endpoints, applications, identity systems, and cloud platforms.
• Lead integration of SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR/XDR, IAM, and vulnerability management technologies.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, audits, remediation planning, and compliance initiatives.
• Provide incident-response and threat-hunting guidance, present recommendations to leadership, and mentor cybersecurity engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, cloud security, or related IT disciplines.
• 3–5+ years of experience designing security architectures or leading cybersecurity engineering initiatives.
• Experience with enterprise security controls, security frameworks, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of enterprise security architecture, zero trust, threat modeling, network and infrastructure security, IAM, security operations, application security, and automation.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or a related discipline.
• CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or GIAC certification.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise environments, regulated industries, cloud-native security, DevSecOps, MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, and security audits.
• Experience designing resilient and highly available security architectures.
