Accounting Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage manufacturing and operations accounting for inventory, costing, fixed assets, leases, and general accounting.
• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial performance reviews.
• Partner with Operations, Plant Finance, Supply Chain, FP&A, and plant management to evaluate results, identify trends, and improve financial transparency.
• Maintain SOX compliance, internal control effectiveness, audit readiness, and public company reporting standards.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for JD Edwards accounting processes and system controls.
• Coach accounting team members and drive improvements in accuracy, efficiency, standardization, and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience in SOX-controlled or publicly traded company environments.
• Management, coaching, or team development experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
