Yard Foreman

Location: Independence, Oregon, United States; onsite yard and production role

Salary: $30.05–$40.65 per hour, paid weekly

What you will do

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of five or more Heavy Equipment Operators, including temporary agency workers.
• Oversee soil mixing, hopper loading, mulch processing, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
• Schedule personnel, assign work, establish priorities, monitor progress, and resolve production issues.
• Monitor production processes, equipment, resources, quality standards, inventory control, and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Coach employees, enforce safety and operating procedures, and maintain a clean and compliant work environment.
• Coordinate equipment repairs and evaluate new equipment and operating techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Experience supervising, coaching, and directing the work of others.
• Experience managing processes and process improvement.
• Ability to maintain housekeeping standards and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
