Yard Supervisor

What you will do

• Supervise terminal facility operations and coordinate safe, efficient, continuous workflows.
• Lead terminal staff development through skills progression, coaching, delegation, performance management, and career development.
• Operate and maintain terminal processes and equipment, including rail movements, conveyors, bulk weighers, control room equipment, loading racks, unloaders, and transload equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance, preventive maintenance, repairs, documentation, and operational troubleshooting.
• Complete daily records, update procedures, train team members, and ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, staffing decisions, food safety, product quality, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; secondary education preferred.
• Terminal, production, operations, or manufacturing experience required; transload terminal experience preferred.
• Three years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand terminal operations, learn new programs, and use Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to perform physically demanding, safety-sensitive work, including lifting up to 60 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, working at heights and in confined spaces, and wearing PPE; pre-employment physical and drug screening required.
