Superintendent (Construction)

Location: On-site in Belle Glade, Florida; subsequent projects may be nationally based and frequent travel is required.

What you will do

• Oversee construction site activities according to project blueprints, schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Manage workers, work schedules, resource allocation, project progress, and subcontractor assignments.
• Coordinate clients, project managers, vendors, suppliers, inspectors, subcontractors, and on-site staff.
• Prepare cost estimates, coordinate equipment and material deliveries, and implement cost-effective operating practices.
• Maintain daily site logs, report operational updates, prevent scope creep, and adjust execution to meet deadlines.
• Perform safety checks and provide on-site direction in a safety-sensitive construction environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related construction discipline.
• At least five years of construction management experience; Superintendent experience is highly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable MVR, OSHA-30 certification, and thorough knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, design layouts, and other construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction equipment, safe operating practices, maintenance, budgeting, planning, quality management, and resource allocation.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, plus strong leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
