Senior Superintendent

Location: Duluth, Minnesota, United States; on-site construction work with travel to project sites and availability for long-term out-of-town assignments.

Estimated pay: $116,000–$192,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead on-site construction operations for projects ranging from small-scale assignments to large, complex, and simultaneous projects totaling more than $50 million.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost codes, production units, productivity reporting, quality control, inspections, punch lists, and close-out procedures.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, lead safety meetings, identify hazards, and maintain compliance with OSHA and company requirements.
• Coordinate trade contractors, suppliers, vendors, owners, design teams, government agencies, and user teams.
• Manage, coach, mentor, and develop Superintendents and other field team members, including performance goals and staffing input.
• Support pre-construction, constructability reviews, estimating, procurement, proposals, client development, and industry organization leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of construction management experience, or a high school diploma with 12+ years of directly related experience.
• 2+ years of people management experience and a record of progressively responsible construction leadership.
• Proficiency with Prolog, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, life cycle costing, safety initiatives, and compliance.
• Current or attainable OSHA 30 certification and ability to obtain required company safety qualifications.
• Ability to perform physically demanding site work, occasionally carry up to 100 pounds, work in extreme climate conditions, travel to project sites, and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.

Nice to have

• Forklift certification and a commercial driver’s license.
