Senior Manager - Java/Python

Location: New York, New York; employees work in the office at least four days per week and may work from home one day per week.

Base salary: $175,000–$195,000 per year, plus potential variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead full stack application development across cloud-native and hybrid architectures supporting investment, portfolio management, and trading platforms.
• Design and implement scalable APIs with security, monitoring, and logging frameworks.
• Develop rich user interface components using React or Angular.
• Manage AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, including Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudFormation, and related services.
• Own production operations, review and approve production changes, and identify automation opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, governance, and delivery oversight for employees, contractors, and vendor partner resources.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience coding and/or designing with multiple programming languages.
• 9+ years of experience designing and building complex software applications across multiple environments.
• Strong full stack development experience with JavaScript, React or Angular, Node.js or Java/.NET/Python, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services, including Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or CloudFormation, as well as API development, integration, and testing frameworks including Jest, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Must have US work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in asset management, investment banking, or wealth management.
• Knowledge of front-office platforms and workflows, including OMS, PMS, and risk engines.
