Senior Manager, Staff Software Engineering (Platform Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead the File Exchange Platform team responsible for a tier-1 secure file transfer service handling approximately 3 million monthly transfers.
• Modernize ticket-based operations through self-service portals, CMDB-driven self-certification, high availability, geo-distributed resiliency, and compliance automation.
• Lead Unified Platform Experience and DOCAT initiatives covering platform SDKs, client UI/UX, infrastructure as a service, onboarding, provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management across public and private clouds.
• Advance the Unified Control Plane toward a production-ready tier-1 platform with audit trails, observability as code, governance, and FinOps integration.
• Define architectural standards and own end-to-end platform strategy, delivery, risk management, metrics, and budgeting.
• Manage and develop a technical team, including performance evaluations, planning, staffing, and team culture.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of coding experience and 5+ years building scalable, fault-tolerant products and platforms.
• At least 5 years supervising 10 or more personnel in a technical environment.
• Experience with enterprise file transfer platforms, developer experience platforms, or Infrastructure as Code delivery systems.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, cloud computing, APIs, microservices, networking, and security architectures.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, Python, C#, .NET, Go, or TypeScript; experience with Terraform, Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, application monitoring, performance assessment, and metrics-driven decision-making.
