Director of Information Technology (Azure)

Location: Hybrid opportunity based in Bellevue, WA; Newtown Square, PA; New York, NY; or San Francisco, CA, working with one of hirify.global’s clients.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise IT strategy, architecture, infrastructure, and end-to-end technology operations.
• Oversee Azure, on-premises data centers, enterprise networks, Microsoft 365, Okta, Zoom, and other SaaS platforms.
• Drive identity integration, service reliability, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Manage and mentor a distributed team of IT engineers, administrators, and service desk staff.
• Oversee technology projects including cloud migrations, identity consolidation, network upgrades, infrastructure upgrades, and major rollouts.
• Manage vendors, budgets, technology spend, compliance readiness, and technology roadmaps in partnership with Security, Finance, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure and operations experience, including 3–5+ years in IT management or leadership.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, enterprise networking, systems integration, and IT architecture.
• Experience with Azure Entra ID/Active Directory, Okta SSO/MFA, VMware vSphere, Intune/Endpoint Manager, endpoint protection, and web proxies.
• Experience with IT service management, incident response, change management, monitoring, capacity planning, backup, disaster recovery, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience managing vendors, large technology budgets, high-performing teams, regulated-industry compliance, audit readiness, and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Advanced cloud, cloud security, Zero Trust, identity federation, threat detection, or data protection certifications and expertise.
• Exposure to AI/ML platforms or emerging technology governance.
• Experience leading M&A integrations, cloud migrations, infrastructure transformations, or other large-scale IT programs.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar change-control frameworks.
