Software Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Develop and integrate software Command & Control solutions for satellite vehicles.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to decompose mission requirements and engineer solutions.
• Integrate new satellites and flight software into the mission management platform.
• Support the development and integration of solutions into the broader product suite.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware-software integration challenges.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for export authorization (ITAR compliance).
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Arvada, CO for 2-3 days of in-office work per week.
• 3+ years of professional experience with satellite command and control systems or complex hardware-software integration.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience developing real-time embedded software.

Nice to have

• Experience with satellite communication protocols (CCSDS, CSP, CFDP, IP).
• Understanding of standardized command and telemetry definitions (XTCE, MIB).
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with encryption algorithms (AES-256, NSA Type 1).
