Software Engineer II (Aerospace)

Location: Lone Tree, Colorado, United States; hybrid work with occasional travel

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and optimize software components for advanced aerospace systems.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Support software integration with hardware systems.
• Develop software requirements and specifications.
• Conduct code reviews, maintain documentation, and promote code quality and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, or Python.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux and real-time operating systems.
• Knowledge of C, C#, HTML, and Bash.
• Experience with requirements tracking, code review, static analysis, artifact repositories, and automated build tools.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or Spiral methodologies.
• Basic understanding of data structures.
