What you will do

  • Develop manufacturing processes, process flows, standard work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and test equipment for assembly and testing.
  • Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and support new product introduction, process validation, and engineering-to-production transitions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reducing cost, improving labor efficiency, increasing first-pass yield, and reducing scrap and rework.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools, establish time standards, analyze labor content, and track safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and provide technical training to production personnel.
  • Support automation and advanced manufacturing technologies, including Cobots, equipment integration, PLC applications, calibration, and vendor implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing engineering or related experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, process design, statistical process control, production processes, materials, and cost drivers.
  • Experience with DFMEA and ISO 9001 quality systems, plus proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with machining, assembly, welding, electromechanical systems, GD&T, automation, robotics, and PLC programming.
  • Ability to analyze complex manufacturing problems, evaluate design changes, manage multiple projects, and communicate across production, engineering, and leadership teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Cobots and their integration into manufacturing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting tools and equipment calibration.
  • Ability to travel to vendor or customer sites as needed.
