Location: Hagerstown, Maryland, United States. Onsite work includes extended periods on the shop floor in hot or cold environments.
Estimated starting salary: $113,428.57–$155,964.28 per year, plus annual performance incentive pay.

What you will do
- Lead DFM and DFA implementation as the technical lead for critical NPI programs.
- Collaborate with design engineering, quality, program management, and production teams to improve manufacturability and quality.
- Develop production process flows, workstation layouts, manufacturing sequences, tooling, fixtures, and supporting hardware.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective, preventive, and continuous-improvement actions.
- Own manufacturing engineering deliverables from concept through production ramp and full product lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or related engineering.
- 10+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience; an advanced degree may substitute for experience.
- Expertise leading DFM/DFA activities for complex systems and full-lifecycle manufacturing deliverables.
- Expert proficiency with CAD software, formal process documentation, engineering principles, and production methods.
- Extensive manufacturing leadership experience and experience working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice to have
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification, preferably Master Black Belt.
- Experience with digital manufacturing, automation, aerospace and defense manufacturing, and production ramp activities.
- Experience creating work instructions, travelers, controlled manufacturing documentation, and participating in Material Review Boards.
- Familiarity with PLM, MES, MRP, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, parametric design, and model-based definition.
