Location: Williamson, West Virginia; must reside within 45 minutes of the Williamson Service Center at 1300 Buffalo Drive.
Salary: $28.31–$58.62 per hour.

What you will do
- Install, maintain, remove, inspect, and operate overhead and underground transmission and distribution facilities.
- Handle conductors, poles, towers, transformers, fixtures, structures, switching devices, and associated line equipment.
- Operate line trucks, digger-derricks, aerial devices, and other company equipment as qualifications are completed.
- Perform line testing, grounding, splicing, cable termination, fault finding, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs under the required level of supervision.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, protective equipment, work areas, records, reports, and apprentice progress documentation.
- Protect work areas, perform pole-top and bucket-truck rescue procedures, and direct assigned crew members at higher classifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Line Mechanic D requires no prior experience; line work experience or line school education is preferred. Higher classifications require progressive line work experience, training, certifications, and examinations.
- Valid driver's license; a CDL beginner's permit must be obtained within 60 days.
- Valid Class A CDL is required for Line Mechanic C, B, and A classifications.
- Ability to climb poles, ladders, and structures, operate equipment, work around energized and de-energized systems, and complete heavy physical work.
- Completion of a physical abilities assessment and the required HireVue Line Worker Virtual Job Tryout are required, unless exempt as specified.
