Designer III - Electrical (Oil & Gas)

Location: Harahan, Louisiana; based out of a TRC office in the United States

Salary: USD $37.05–$42.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead electrical and instrumentation design and drafting for oil and gas facilities using AutoCAD.
• Develop technical drawings, schematics, specifications, instrument plans, circuit schedules, and loop drawings.
• Design power distribution, lighting, motor control, communications, heat tracing, and grounding systems.
• Perform calculations and analysis, including conduit and cable/wiring sizing, to support safe and compliant designs.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and technical personnel to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Perform field inspections, support construction and commissioning, and mentor junior designers.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation design for the oil and gas industry using AutoCAD.
• A two-year associate degree.
• Expertise in oil and gas industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment used in oil and gas facilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and team leadership skills.
