Designer II - Electrical (Oil & Gas)

Location: Houston, Texas, or another hirify.global office in the United States

Salary: USD $23.00–$30.00 per hour, with potential eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead electrical and instrumentation design and drafting for oil and gas facilities using AutoCAD.
• Develop technical drawings, schematics, specifications, circuit schedules, instrument plans, and loop drawings.
• Perform calculations and analysis for conduit, cable, and wiring sizing and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and technical personnel to meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
• Review technical data and project documentation and support design quality throughout delivery.
• Conduct field inspections and provide support during construction and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree.
• At least 3 years of experience using AutoCAD for electrical and instrumentation design.
• Experience with electrical and instrumentation design for oil and gas facilities.
• Knowledge of relevant oil and gas industry codes, standards, regulations, and equipment.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and team-leadership skills.
