EI&C Designer I

Location: Houston, Texas; the role can be based at any hirify.global office in the US

Salary: USD $25.00–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

• Design and draft electrical and instrumentation systems for oil and gas facilities in AutoCAD.
• Prepare technical drawings, schematics, specifications, instrument plans, circuit schedules, and instrument loop drawings.
• Perform design calculations and analysis, including conduit and cable/wiring sizing.
• Review technical data, codes, standards, regulations, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other technical personnel to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Perform field inspections and support construction and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• One-year certificate.
• At least 1 year of experience using AutoCAD for electrical and instrumentation design.
• Experience preparing drawings and documentation for the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of relevant oil and gas codes, standards, regulations, electrical equipment, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, lead a team, and deliver designs on time and within budget.
