Distribution Engineer I (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Gahanna, Ohio, United States; onsite work in a local office

Salary: USD $20.00–$28.00 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare detailed manual and computer-assisted design and construction drawings for electric distribution projects.
• Develop cost estimates, specifications, evaluations, requisitions, and engineering calculations.
• Apply industry and company standards to assigned design work.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries and design development to meet project schedules.
• Collect on-site field data and monitor or evaluate equipment performance.
• Provide limited direction to designers and technicians and coordinate selected projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with GIS systems, preferably Smallworld or GWD, and CADD systems such as AutoCAD.
• Ability to communicate with clients and other agencies regarding project design responsibilities.
• Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures and demonstrate technical capability.
• Clear and valid driver's license; must be at least 21 years old to drive on company time.
