Product Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Travel to company summits is required twice per year.

Salary: $140K–$225K per year, plus equity and bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Build and evolve chat surfaces and agent workspaces with streaming protocols, message persistence, tool-call and approval experiences, and citation rendering.
• Partner on the app builder, including generated application templates, toolchains, preview sandboxes, and generation and repair workflows.
• Maintain shared components and the design system across chat, workspaces, and the app builder.
• Build agent-facing developer tooling, including the CLI, deployment tools, and manifests.
• Own features end to end across TypeScript frontend code, Node/Fastify or Python/FastAPI backend-for-frontend services, Postgres schemas, deployment, observability, and on-call.
• Implement enterprise readiness through accessibility, localization, audit trails, instrumentation, and evaluations of AI-dependent behavior.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production experience with React and TypeScript, including streaming UIs, high-frequency updates, virtualization, and state management.
• Hands-on end-to-end experience with SSE or WebSocket streaming, including chunk boundaries, reconnection, abort propagation, and raw byte-stream debugging.
• Experience shipping the backend for frontend features using Node/Fastify or Python/FastAPI, including authentication, idempotency, pagination, race conditions, and migrations.
• Practical experience with TypeScript, React 19, TanStack Query, Vite, Postgres or Redis, and streaming systems; familiarity with zod, sandboxed iframes, CSP, postMessage, Playwright, Vitest, WCAG 2.2 AA, i18n frameworks, and OIDC/OAuth2.
• AI-native development practices, ownership of instrumentation and on-call responsibilities, cost awareness, and experience evaluating AI-dependent behavior.
• Bachelor’s degree required; applicants must have current United States work authorization. Visa sponsorship is not available.
