Forward-Deployed Engineer (Voice AI)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Redwood City, California; Sundays remote for creative or administrative work

Base salary: $215,000–$290,000 per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Lead client projects from initial prototypes through production deployment, communicating progress and risks.
• Build voice AI solutions and develop expertise in LLM prompting.
• Ship full-stack integrations using Python, JavaScript, React, and Node with CRMs, ERPs, and scheduling systems.
• Work directly with enterprise clients and sales teams to gather requirements, create demos, and present system designs.
• Scope projects, resolve technical blockers, and keep cross-functional teams aligned.
• Convert reusable implementation patterns and field feedback into platform components and product recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Forward-Deployed Engineer, Technical PM, founder, or founding engineer.
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, ideally from a top US institution.
• Hands-on proficiency with React, Node.js, Python, and AWS.
• Experience delivering production-grade systems for enterprises or high-growth startups.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and a track record of writing production-grade code.
• Comfort working onsite five days a week in Redwood City, California.
